About the role
We’re looking for a qualified talented Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) to join our Properties Finance team at NFU Mutual. We’re a small specialist team, working within the wider Finance Division, to support the business across a wide range of activities. From reporting on the performance of the property investment funds, to the financial management of the occupational property portfolio, this is a great learning opportunity to take the lead across a range of diverse areas.
You’ll focus on leading, managing and controlling the processing of property-related income and expenditure, ensuring compliance, controls and SLAs are achieved, alongside providing management information (MI) and analysis to deliver effective portfolio management.
You’ll be continuously driving process improvements and ensuring processes are standardised across the team. Whilst performing financial accounting to support in the Group’s Report. Identification and management of financial risks including credit vetting of suppliers and tenants whilst providing day to day technical accounting support to the department and the ledgers team is also part of this role.
The ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders in addition to external relationships with Managing Agents, suppliers, and tenants is another aspect to crucial to the success when in the position.

You’ll have the below experience and knowledge:
Technical accounting experience with working knowledge of sales and purchase ledger functions.
Exposure to a control’s environment.
Experience with continuous improvement activities.
Confident with accountancy software, alongside Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Ability to lead and manage direct and indirect reports, driving performance, where required.
Qualifications
ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
